Our team are the heart and soul of the South Mountain YMCA Camps. Our services and programs are about developing people, and it takes a dedicated and passionate team make them happen.
Jerry Huncosky
Jerry started full-time in the YMCA as a Camp Program Director with the YMCA of Greater New York. He worked his way up to the Director of Camping Services position and left in 1993 for the Executive Director position at YMCA Camp Fuller, in Rhode Island, where he worked for seven years. Jerry led the Dallas YMCA Camps for four years and then moved to Frost Valley YMCA as the Chief Executive Director at one of the largest YMCA camping facilities in the world. Jerry stayed with Frost Valley for twenty years. While contemplating retirement, Jerry learned of the vacancy at South Mountain and offered to take on the leadership of our camps. 2026 will be Jerry’s 40th summer in Y camping. He has consulted with camps around the world and helped design and build a YMCA camp in Kosovo. He is excited for the opportunity to work with staff and campers at South Mountain.
Michael Burger

Michael was raised in the Reading area and first came to Camp in 1974 as a Bynden Wood day camper, and then a Conrad Weiser camper. While attending Duquesne University, he returned as a counselor and summer staffer in a variety of positions. After earning an MBA from Penn State in 1990, Michael relocated to California where he spent 10 years in the wine and spirits industry. He then embarked on a 20-year career as a manager with Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Pittsburgh before returning home to Reading. Michael lives in Blandon with his girlfriend Lisa, their six dogs and three cats.
Tracey Braymiller

Tracey joins us on the mountain after serving in the U. S. Coast Guard for 30 years. She is a graduate of Trident University International with a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources. Tracey is the voice of camp she can help you with any questions that you may have about our programs. Tracey lives in Denver with her husband Norm and their daughter Emily along with their Dogs and Cats. When Tracey isn’t at camp you may find her on a golf course with her family or sitting on the beach getting some vitamin “sea”.
Cory Evans

Cory hails from upstate New York and comes to the mountain with over 20 years of professional camping experience ranging in the fields of Aquatics, Archery, High Adventure, Teambuilding, Outdoor Science, Trip Leading, Day Camp, and Camp Programming. Cory oversees multiple facets of camp operation is always planning new and exciting activities to serve the members of our community. Cory lives on the mountain with his wife and two kids. You may find Cory sailing, paddling, hiking, or snowboarding all around the east coast.
Kelly Leibolt

Kelly grew up in Illinois in a town nestled between Milwaukee & Chicago. She has been working with the YMCA since she was 16 years old. Kelly started her career at Hastings Lake YMCA as a youth sport coach and has experience at YMCA Camp Grady Spruce as a Naturalist, YMCA Camp Duncan as a Program Director, YMCA Camp Tockwogh as the Retreats Director, Willow Grove YMCA as an Aquatic Team Leader and currently South Mountain YMCA as the Outdoor Center Director. Kelly holds a degree in Physical Education and Health with a minor in Aquatics from Slippery Rock University. Most days you can find her roaming the local trails or finding a new ice-cream location with her partner and dog.
Anna Reese

Anna Reese joined the South Mountain YMCA team in January 2026 as the Bynden Wood Day Camp Director. Growing up as a camper sparked her passion for youth development, outdoor education, and the camp experience. After many seasons as a seasonal staff member, Anna transitioned into full-time camping leadership and has spent the last six years working year-round in the camping industry. Anna has worked and directed camps across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Washington through YMCA camps, Girl Scout camps, and private camping organizations. She loves creating a camp environment where kids can explore the outdoors, discover new passions, and build lasting friendships. Outside of camp, you can usually find Anna hiking local trails, practicing yoga, or taking a road trip somewhere beautiful. She truly believes in the power of camp and is excited to help every camper experience the magic of Bynden Wood Day Camp!
Brandon Tanner
Facilities Director

Brandon joined the mountain community in 2017 as part of the facilities crew and stepped into the role of Facilities Director in 2024. With a strong background in property management, general contracting, and co-owning a landscaping business, he brings a wealth of hands-on experience to maintaining and enhancing the property.
A graduate of Penn College, Brandon has a passion for problem-solving and keeping things running smoothly. When he’s not overseeing operations, you can find him working on vehicles, enjoying live concerts, or spending time on the mountain with his family and three dogs.
