A Summer Camp Experience That Builds Confidence for Life

Start Where You’re Comfortable

We know every camper—and every parent—starts somewhere different. Our full-week and multi-week sessions provide the most meaningful camp experience, giving campers the time to build friendships, try new things, and grow in confidence.

For families looking for a shorter introduction, our 3-night mini camp offers a great first step. It’s a low-pressure way to experience camp—and many campers leave excited to come back for a longer stay.

With flexible session options and specialty programs, there’s something for every camper and every schedule.

A Place to Belong

Campers quickly become part of a welcoming community where friendships grow and everyone has a place. Through shared cabin experiences and supportive staff, kids feel connected, included, and encouraged from day one.

More Than Fun—A Foundation for Growth

Each day is filled with opportunities to explore, learn, and grow. On their first night, campers take part in an activity selection process—similar to a “job fair”—where they choose the experiences they’re most excited about for the week.

From swimming and boating to climbing, creative arts, and nature exploration, campers build a schedule that reflects their interests.

But what matters most isn’t just what they do—it’s what they gain:

confidence, resilience, friendships, and a stronger sense of self.

A Safe, Supportive Environment

Your child’s safety and well-being are our highest priorities. South Mountain YMCA Camps is accredited by both the American Camp Association (ACA) and Praesidium—two of the most respected organizations in youth development and child protection.

Together, these accreditations represent hundreds of standards in areas such as staff screening and training, supervision, program quality, and risk management.

We are also proud to participate in the YMCA’s Five Days of Action, a national initiative focused on empowering children and communities to prevent abuse.
