Welcome To Camp
Conrad Weiser
Your Path to a GREAT Summer!
Resident Camp for Boys and Girls ages 7-16
| At South Mountain YMCA, we
believe that today’s campers are tomorrow’s leaders.
For 60 years, Camp Conrad Weiser has offered
fun-filled, educational experiences that last long
after summer camp. Our staff, campers, and facility
create the perfect environment to build memories and
friendships that last a lifetime. Campers build self
confidence, while making new friends. Here they
learn new skills, foster spiritual awareness and
gain a sense of independence while focusing on
character development. The YMCA values of Caring,
Honesty, Respect and Responsibility are an integral
part of the camping experience. |

STAFF
The quality of the program is directly
related to the quality of the staff. At South
Mountain YMCA, our standard is excellence. We
carefully select and train our counselors to serve
as positive role models and leaders in the camp
community. Our dedicated, caring counselors are
focused on providing a safe environment in which
campers can learn and grow. Our staff are led by
some of the strongest and most experienced leaders
in the camping field. Staff undergo an intensive one
week training period and all classes are taught by
certified instructors. Our cabins have a minimum of
two adult staff members providing a 1:5 or better
staff to camper ratio. We also have a licensed nurse
on property for medical needs.

COUNSELOR IN
TRAINING
Our Counselor in Training Program is
for campers who are at least 15 1/2 years of age
and have completed 10th grade. The CIT Program
is a four week skills progressive leadership
program designed specifically for teens. We
offer an opportunity to learn from veteran staff
while developing the skills necessary to be
positive members of the camping community and
leaders at home. The program is experiential
with an emphasis on learning by doing. CIT's are
assigned mentors and begin to explore the
leadership side of camp programs.
