Bynden Wood

Bynden Wood Lodge

Bynden Wood Lodge Meeting SpaceThe historic Bynden Wood Lodge dates back to the 1800s when a ‘grand hotel’ stood on camp property. The front room of Bynden Wood Lodge, called the 'Tea Room', served as the hotel tavern. In the 1950s a large auditorium was added-on. The lodge serves as the base of operations for Bynden Wood Day Camp each summer. With multiple breakout spaces and convenient parking, it makes a great setting for lectures, meetings and parties.

Bynden Wood Auditorium InteriorBynden Wood Lodge underwent a ‘facelift’ in 2010, dramatic remodeling in 2011, and is currently having a kitchen added making it the PREMIER gathering place for special events and winter groups. The auditorium and tea room have hardwood floors throughout, stone fireplaces, modern bathrooms and are fully heated and cooled.

The 1,400 sq ft auditorium seats up to 116 people at round tables and the 'Tea Room' seats 47 people lecture-style. The basement (under renovations) will provide another small breakout meeting space.

Located right next to Bynden Wood Lodge and the Playground, the Pavilion is the ideal location for large picnics and BBQs. A charcoal grill can be provided upon request or our friendly food service staff can take care of all preparations for a small fee.

Bynden Wood Playground

A welcome respite for groups with children along, the playground features all the usual equipment like swings and a slide but also includes tether ball courts and a gaga pit.
